		Ares I-X The Ares I-X is one of the latest additions to the Dr Zooch family of scale space models. This is a scale model of NASA's test vehicle for a series of next-generation manned space vehicles. The finished model stand a little over 19" tall and weighs around 1.5 oz. The Dr Zooch Arex I-X flies on Estes-style B and C model rocket engines. Flights over 2,000 feet are possible. A plastic parachute is included for recovery. Mercury Redstone The Dr Zooch Mercury Redstone rocket measures 23.5" long with a 4.15" finspan. It uses a BT60 body tube, which has a 1.595" diameter. This is a scale model of the craft used to send the first US astronaut to space. The escape tower stays on for flight, which is not always the case for other Mercury Redstone scale models for sale. This single stage flying rocket uses 18mm rocket motors, such as the Estes B6-4. 		Jupiter C This is a scale model of the rocket used to launch the first US satellite, as part of the space race. The vehicle was known as the Explorer I, and the rocket was a slightly modified version of the Jupiter C, which some would call the Juno I. The completed Dr Zooch Jupiter C model rocket is about 12" tall. It is one of the easier Dr Zooch kits to build and a great overall flier. The Jupiter C kit is a single-stage flying model rocket which comes complete with balsa fin stock, pre-printed wraps, and plastic parachute. The shock cord setup is a combination of Kevlar and elastic. Recommended engines are Estes or Quest A, B or C. Flights to over 1,400 ft are possible with a C6-7.

Mark II Unlikely the other Dr Zooch flying rocket kits, this isn't a scale model of an existing vehicle. It does have that unique space program look and feel. The Dr Zooch Mark II model rocket stands 12.2" tall and has a 2.93" fin span. Weight without motor should be around 2.4 oz. This is one of the easier-to-build Dr Zooch kits, so if you're looking for a first model kit with space program style, the Mark II may be just be a good first kit to buy.
