		Igniter Tester - Continuity Checker This igniter tester is used to detect defective igniters. Simply hook the clips onto the igniter leads and push the button. If the ultra-bright blue LED comes on, the igniter has continuity. If the LED doesn't come on, the igniter is bad. Works with commercial igniters (Estes, Quest, Aerotech, CTI), electric matches, and homemade igniters. Sensitive enough to work with Quest Q2G2 igniters. Some defects (such as a short) will show continuity while the igniter is bad. Requires one N-cell A23 battery (not included). Nichrome Igniter Bridgewire

The igniter wire for sale here is quality resistance wire, it contains 80% Nickel. When it comes to ignition, reliability is key. Note that this is bridgwire only, it does not include pyrogen.

Wire is spooled onto foam-board to avoid tangling, and for easy storage. Testing has shown that igniters made with these wires work fine with Estes and Quest launch controllers. However, a 12V launch system is recommended, especially for clustering.

Igniter Lead Wire

The nichrome wire for sale above is best used with the igniter lead wire shown here. This is also known as "shooter's wire", used in the blasting and fireworks industry.
