Once the glue sets, tie the open end of the cotton cord to the nose cone (or shock cord) of your model rocket. Instructions for competition flying Competitors usually have their own unique tricks and theories as to what the best assembly method is. The instructions below will illustrate two of those techniques.
Note that there are may other attachment methods, these are not the only valid methods of competition streamer assembly. Packing the streamer Roll the streamer around a pencil or other round object. Wrap the cotton cord around the streamer. Carefully remove the pencil. If the streamer was rolled around the pencil too tightly, it may have hard to remove the pencil. If this is the case, start over and roll the streamer more losely around the pencil. Insert the rolled streamer into your model rocket, tied to the nose cone or shock cord (as indicated earlier).
