18mm Model Rocket Motor Retainer
These 18mm motor retainers are made in the USA. They work with Estes-style BT20 body tubes. Thicker paper tubes can be sanded to achieve a fit.
Full set weight : 0.13oz/3.7g. For use with 18mm motors, including Estes/Quest 18mm A-C motors, and Aerotech single use and RMS 18mm motors.
No tools required to operated. Motors without thrust ring are friction-fit.
24mm Rocket Motor Retainer
These quality motor retainers are precision-machined from aluminum and are anodized. Made in the USA. Full set weight : 0.25oz/7g.
These motor retainers are for use with 24mm motors. This includes Estes D/E motors, Cesaroni Pro24, Aerotech single use and reloadable RMS 24mm motors.
Once installed, the retainer doesn't require any tools to operate. Simply install the model rocket motor, and screw on the cap.
The full set includes both body (threaded on the outside) and the retainer cap. You can also buy these parts separately. One motor retainer body is permanently installed on each rocket. The cap can be moved between rockets as needed.
The 24mm retainers shown for sale work with Rocketarium (BT50), Estes (BT50), Aerotech, LOC, and other paper model rocket tubes. See the installation instructions for details.
Model rocket motors with a thrust ring (such as Aerotech RMS motors) do not require an engine block installed in the rocket. Motors without a thrust ring (such as Estes D/E) either require a motor block in the rocket, or can be friction fit.
