This is the Forward Tapped (threaded 5/16")/Plugged closure that fits all 38mm series casings. This closure is used to either attach an eye-bolt into the threaded end, or with minimum diameter retainer.
It can only be used with timer or altimeter to control the ejection of the parachute.
